Our client was seeking a Management Development Programme that would provide it's managers with the core management skills needed to manage their people effectively, lead business change and change the management culture within the business.
We designed a bespoke Management Development Programme to be delivered over 12-15 months as follows:
The programme would include pre and post 360 feedbacks based on competencies we designed for the business based on their coporate values. We offered our client various ways to adminster the 360 feedbacks and they chose to work with one of our selected partners to have an in house system for the 360s.
The programme is supported by in house coaches who were trained by us on the Coaching Skills Workshop we designed and delivered. Each programme attendee selects their coach and receives coaching for the length of the programme.
After their pre programme 360 feedback the attendees attend four initial workshops on the following topics:
Part of the project brief was to encourage cross organisational working and from our research we believed it was important to implement business improvement initiatives. The delegates therefore work in small teams to identify a business improvement project.
The first stage of the project is to form working groups, identify their business improvement initiative and gather data to support the reason for change. Each working group must also course a project sponsor from amongst the senior management team.
The attendees present their project improvement plans at workshop 5 where they also attend a workshop on Change.
The second stage of the project is to implement their project with support from their sponsor and coaches.
Approximately a year after starting the programme and 4-5 months after identifying and researching their project the attendees present the results of ther business improvement projects to date.
The programme concludes with post programme 360 feedback.
