Our client was seeking a Management Development Framework which identifed the management development required for each level of manager from supervisor to director.
We met with our client to discuss the different levels of management and organisational requirements. We then designed a Management Development Framework underpinned by a set of competencies derived from their corporate values. The framework provides each level of management with a programme of development designed to meet the business need at that level and provide personal development.
Each level of the programme has models and tools designed to provide self analysis, reflection and awareness. The selection of tools works together across all of the management levels to provide a common way of working and language. This helps the business build consistency across its management roles.
The competencies were created from understanding the company values and breaking these down into tangible actions managers could take in order to demonstrate the values. Inherant in this is the expectation that each manager across the business will embody and be a role model for the organisation's values for others.
